According to Mr. Shamsudheen, the process of successfully obtaining your pharmacy license involves going back and forth with the Department of Economic Development and the Dubai Health Authority. “Having to run between the two entities is why most people prefer working with business setup consultants to obtain their pharmacy license.”
Mr. Shamsudheen also revealed some key features within the process that most people are generally unaware of. “For starters, owners, shareholders, or managers do not need any past experience in the field of medicine. Additionally, they do not need any sort of qualification in the same field either. These provisions are specifically set for pharmacists or medical directors.”
“Secondly, to proceed with your application, you must only hire pharmacists with a valid DHA license,” said Mr. Shamsudheen.
He also went on to discuss other requirements that play a great role in the decision-making process. This is the condition to submit a letter that states how your pharmacy plans to benefit the country.
“Pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and other facilities involved within the healthcare department are known to do great in the UAE. The need for such institutions is never-ending. Thus, allowing them and those involved to grow and flourish abundantly,” concluded Mr. Shamsudheen.
